Our team at Stable Road Foundation has accomplished a lot over the past year. Here’s a look back at our biggest projects, partnerships, and impacts of 2023.

Projects

This year we’ve been busy on projects all over the world, from Hawai’i to the Philippines to Israel (and many places in between). Our focus, as always, was on helping disadvantaged children and protecting our natural environment. Check out some of the highlights:

Our team of volunteers traveled to a remote village that had been devastated after a typhoon. There, we installed a solar microgrid to power the computers, fans, and other equipment we brought to help rebuild a high school serving 200 students.
After Maui was struck by devastating wildfires in August, our team was immediately on the ground to deliver much-need relief, including tools, cash assistance, clean water, and over $1 million in rebuilding funds.
We invited dozens of children with special needs and their families to come enjoy a day of friendship and connection at the beautiful beach of Stable Road, where they enjoyed pizza and watersports while soaking up the mana!
To help disadvantaged kids at home and abroad discover the healing power of the ocean, we supported a series of free events that paired them with professional surfers for the thrill of a lifetime.
We helped send hundreds of pallets of emergency aid and $100,000 in financial support to Israeli communities impacted by conflict.

Partnerships

In 2023, Stable Road Foundation teamed up with new partners to help us serve more communities around the world—and reaffirmed our commitment to our longstanding partners to create positive change at home. Here’s a quick look at our new (and old) friends:

Our newest partner is Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), one of the world’s leading disaster relief nonprofits, on humanitarian responses both at home and abroad. Our combined efforts have delivered well over $1 million to communities in need, along with much-needed water, food, and other necessities.
We’ve been proud to support Imua for years—and this year, we’ve deepened that support in many ways, including a $50,000 donation for their new preschool and another $20,000 to support their community events.
This year, we continued our tradition of working with Givepower to bring electricity and modern technology to disadvantaged communities in remote locations. Our recent trip to the Philippines was one of our best collaborations yet.
Our friends at THERAsurf have always shared our love of the ocean and our commitment to help disadvantaged kids. In 2023, our support helped them share the ocean’s magic with even more children and their families both at home and abroad.
We’ve been supporting the Buddy Program since 2018, donating over $100,000 to help them connect kids with mentors in their communities. This year, our partnership enabled them to expand their programs across Colorado.
